When everything looks fine on the outside …
but nothing feels fine on the inside.
I get it.
I help women who feel anxious, disconnected, or emotionally drained find their way back to calm and self-trust.
I offer integrative psychiatric care with practical, body-based tools,
guiding you toward a clearer, steadier path forward.
You might not even know what’s wrong.
You just know that something feels off, and your usual strength isn’t working anymore.
You don’t need to be fixed;
you just need space to breathe
and find your path back to yourself again
You don’t have to be in crisis to deserve support.
For those who’ve spent too long holding it together —
this is where you get to exhale.
Hi, I’m Laura Yvonne Smith, PMHNP-BC
I’m a psychiatric nurse practitioner
who believes healing begins when someone truly listens —not just to
hear your story, but to help you
make sense of it and move forward.
Before opening my own practice, I spent years in hospital medicine and leadership, caring for people on their hardest days. Those experiences taught me that healing depends on being heard, not hurried. Later, a personal medical crisis reshaped everything I believed about care. It showed me that strength isn’t about pushing through, it’s about learning to listen to what your body and mind are asking for.
Now, I help women reweave the pieces of their wellbeing, helping to bring together medical understanding, self-reflection, and nervous-system repair to create a plan that feels cohesive and personal. My goal is to help you move from holding everything together to finding calm inside your own rhythm, and creating space for who you are becoming.

Real change begins when it feels steady where you stand.
Start here.
I help women navigating:
• Anxiety and Depression
persistent worry, tension, or emotional numbness that makes it hard to feel at ease.
• PTSD and Trauma-Related Stress
when past experiences still shape the way your body and mind respond to the present.
• Burnout and Compassion Fatigue
especially among caregivers and professionals who give deeply but forget to refill.
• Stress and Insomnia
Difficulty slowing down, falling asleep, or feeling rested even after a full night’s sleep.
• Grief and Life Transitions
the quiet disorientation that follows loss, change, or the end of a familiar chapter.
• Emotional Overwhelm & Executive-Function Fatigue
When focus, motivation, or follow-through feel scattered by stress.
What matters most isn’t the label.
It’s that you’re ready to feel more grounded, clear, and connected to yourself.
